Even with all the additional features you can use to search with outlook I am not satisfied with the results. I spent (too) much time on reading such articles which may be interesting but of no real use for me. For me the best way to speed up the search of Outlook is by installing a search tool. I use lookeen since 5 months and all my problems concerning the search in Outlook are gone.

What is really frustrating is that it seems Outlook 2010 has made no advances on html parsing. Outlook 2002/3 had the same parser used in IE. With Outlook 2007, MS used the parser from MS Word, which is pathetic, with limited ability to parse the web-standard tags, and a host of other missing features, such as processing html forms.

Interesting comment David.
This is not meant to be critical.. but an observation.
I was heavily involved in DP technology until I retired a few years ago. I do not remember any shop I had contact with that used Lotus Notes except for those who would mention that they used to use Notes.
Maybe you and I live in different neighborhoods and the folks we both live near us are similar to us.

Your first statement is inaccurate. About as many people use Lotus Notes as use Outlook in the business world, although Microsoft's propaganda will try to convince you otherwise. Perhaps you could follow this article with one that would address the other half of your readers?
