Question: I downloaded RealPlayer and then downloaded a video clip that I is now in my video library. How can I copy a video clip to my own website from Real Player? I am appearing on TV and the only recording I will have access to is the web video.

May I also suggest a Mac-only app called FLVR. It’s from a developer called Tastyapps, and it runs as a Safari plugin. It’s inexpensive, requires 2 clicks from start to finish, and works flawlessly.

I know lots of folks do not like Real, RealNetworks, RealPlayer, etc. I personally can not understand a company run by a guy who sues rather than competes.

But, I must say, in my experience, RealPlayer has in the past been the most competent tool in some important areas: library organization, saving web streams as Favorites. For a while it was my default.

Now, WMP11 in Vista-not in XP- does everything Real does and in some cases outshines it.

Frankly after all their past abuse, I’d sooner put a gun to my computer than install anything from RealNetworks.
